In this DIY project, Stefan shows how he made 3 custom-made drawers himself. He was looking for more storage space for his bed in the garden. By ordering the sawing work online, he was able to start his project straight away.

3 drawers were built from the multiplex. These will be used in a daybed in the garden. The bed will then be covered and paneled at the sides and back.

How I made this project

First, the drawers were built from the multiplex. Then 3 bodies were made from 3-layer boards (larch). Then the pull-outs were screwed into the body and then the drawers were inserted. The base consists of wooden steps which lie on concrete slabs. Small remnants of a compact board were placed under the corners to protect against moisture. The fronts are still to be attached and then the construction including the roof of the daybed will follow. The panel materials and the base were coated with a colorless glaze for protection.
